At Sanatoré we understand that It can be difficult for the average person to find a job, especially in a tough economy. For those with Special Needs, it can be even more difficult if they require accommodations, such as special equipment, before they can start work.
We understand that having a physical or intellectual disability can make tasks like developing a CV, filling out an application and preparing for an interview exceedingly difficult without support.
Sanatoré will assist Special Needs people with Job Search and placements.
This is the process we follow:
We meet with the person and their parent/carer at their place of residence to find out more about their challenges
Look at the person's CV and update it to include the current skills
We go through a career exploration phase. At this juncture, we gently direct their attention to other possibilities of career moves to consider.
We will discuss the level of support the person will need during employment. For example:
Once we are all in agreement on the best way forward we will either
Sanatoré will stay involved with the person until we get a positive outcome or explore what else is out there if we have exhausted all avenues that never progressed.
Important:
Cost:
Sanatoré will charge a one-off fee for placements but only if we are successful. If not the service is free. The charges can be discussed in detailed following our assessment of the Special Needs person. On the other hand, if the Employer requires our recruitment services, we will recover our cost from the employer.

- It is important that we know what type of job to look for, so we can help them overcome any challenges when we are looking for a job. For example, if they are unable to stand for long periods of time, we will help find a job where they are able to sit.
Look at the person's CV and update it to include the current skills
- it is important that we provide potential employers with a background on who this person is and what type of job they are looking for.
We go through a career exploration phase. At this juncture, we gently direct their attention to other possibilities of career moves to consider.
- We can suggest more training to better prepare them for future employment.
- We can suggest or make sure he or she is developing the skills to find a job before we match him or her with employment
We will discuss the level of support the person will need during employment. For example:
- Will they be in SUPPORTED employment ( everyday support) OR
- INDEPENDENT employment (very little to no support at all)
Once we are all in agreement on the best way forward we will either
- Proceed with the job search by contacting our potential employers Or
- We will give the person some time to involve themselves in an employment preparatory training/skills
Sanatoré will stay involved with the person until we get a positive outcome or explore what else is out there if we have exhausted all avenues that never progressed.
Important:
- Most employers will make reasonable accommodations if the applicant is qualified to do the job.
- Finding a job takes time; The process can take anywhere from one to six months.
- We don’t set anyone up to fail, so having faith in an Agency like ours is important.
- No matter what the outcome is, Sanatoré will continue to support the person unless otherwise.
- Employers can hire and fire if they deem it necessary but only if they have made all reasonable adjustments to no avail.
